![]() There is a one week free trial of the Pro version so you can make sure you’ll get enough value out of it before paying for it. Widgetsmith is a free download on the App Store, but you’ll want to upgrade to the subscription ($20/year or $2/month) for all the options. If you’ve not tried Widgetsmith, you are missing out on some really fun ways to spruce up your iOS home screen. ![]() You could choose a family photo, overlay some Christmas lights, and then set the countdown to 12/25/21 at midnight. If you’re counting down to Christmas, Widgetsmith includes a style to overlay a countdown on top of a photo. Once it’s saved, go back to your home screen, add a new widget, choose Widgetsmith, choose your appropriate size, and then edit the widget to pick the one that includes your photo. Change your Aesthetic/Theme, set your location, choose your alignment, and then pick your photo. I love the Photo Temp & Conditions widget as it lets me use a family photo as well as show the weather. For the photo widget, I like the small option so the photos are the right aspect ratio. Icon Themer has a diverse library of icons, themes, and widgets that are all customizable with different colors and backgrounds so you can watch your iPhone home screen ideas come to life. Go into Widgetsmith and choose your widget size. If your family has taken Christmas-themed pictures, adding one of Widgetsmith’s holiday overlays is the perfect way to spruce it up for your iPhone home screen. Finally, edit the widget and choose the one that includes your Christmas calendar widget. ![]() Find the size widget you choose and add it. ![]() Once it’s saved, tap and hold on your iOS home screen, select the plus to add a widget, and look for Widgetsmith in your list. Tap on Aesthetic/Theme and look for one of the Christmas-themed options. I love the candy cane option, and you can customize fonts, etc. It allows users to create their own highly customizable widgets, which offer a wide variety of functions and information - weather reports, date and time, photo albums, calendars and reminders, health and activity feeds, and more. For Christmas, Widgetsmith has a candy cane, lights, and a wreath camera option. Widgetsmith was one of the most popular widgets in the early days of iOS14 and for a very good reason. Widgetsmith lets you add a host of themes to your calendar. While Apple has its own calendar widget, it’s a fairly standard design. The calendar widget in Widgetsmith is one of the best options. I think having customizable art work would be an awesome idea, and a great way. Since it’s the Christmas season, there are a number of options inside of Widgetsmith to give your widgets some Christmas flare. Download Widgetsmith and enjoy it on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. If you want to customize your home screen, there’s no better app. I have one on my home screen that has the weather until 7 a.m., then my calendar until 5 p.m., and then switches a family photo that overlays the weather. One of my favorite aspects of it is setting up time-based widgets to automatically rotate during the day. However, Pixel Widgets is a great alternative if you’re interested in a retro look for your phone.Widgetsmith is one of the best apps you can add to your iOS home screen to customize every aspect of it. Widgetsmith is available for Android 4.4 and up as well as iOS 14.0 or later. This small difference makes Widgetsmith great for paying and non-paying users. However, access to hosted weather data and tide is only available to premium members using a monthly or annual subscription plan. While the application has a premium subscription, you don’t miss out on the majority of features without it. To prevent Widgetsmith problems, the app requires permissions from the health app itself and one of the corresponding widgets added to your home screen. Widgetsmith integrates with your iPhone’s health application to display your steps and activity. With this, you can view the weather in the morning and track your activity throughout the day without swapping screens. This utility gives you the option to select a time for each widget to display itself, maximizing the amount of information you see. Improving your efficiency from the home screen is an easy task with the Widgetsmith application’s scheduling function. Additionally, you can launch each tool through a quick tap of the widget on your home screen. Each utility has a selection of styles available, letting you find your style quickly. Some of the various options available include weather apps, a calendar, and a timezone converter. Widgetsmith is packed with a wide selection of productivity tools. ![]() Microsoft generously enables everybody to change the concerning settings, but hides them in countless menus, where a normal user does not want to search for The program. Right at the top of the General tab is an option to enable or disable apps'. W10Privacy - for what The by default highly questionable set options concerning privacy and data protection in Windows 10 brought me to the idea to develop this program. It’s also small, portable and entirely free, so if you’re interested, just grab a copy and give it a try. Windows 10 comes with its very own Privacy screen in the Settings panel click the cog icon on the Start menu to find it. Still, there’s nothing here that can’t be fixed, and W10Privacy’s explanations of what each tweak does are well worth having. W10Privacy is one of the many specialized applications that focus on removing all tracking elements from your PC, even if you are not a tech-savvy user. W10Privacy can display common Windows 10 security settings that can be activated as well as deactivated within the program. There are some useful bonus features, too, including the ability to uninstall most of the standard Windows apps. Windows The Complete Guide to Windows 10 Privacy Settings By Gavin Phillips Published Do you know how much personal data you're actually sharing when using Windows 10 We show you every single Windows 10 privacy setting and what they mean. There’s not just a vague "block telemetry" option: instead you can choose to "block IP addresses of known Microsoft telemetry servers" through either a firewall rule or your HOSTS file, in both full-strength and lightweight versions.Įach action is color-coded, too, as either green (safe to set), amber (check carefully) or red (don’t do this unless you’re really sure), reducing the chance that you’ll cause some major problems. W10Privacy gives you quite fine control over some areas. If that’s not enough, hovering the mouse over that action displays a tooltip with more information. ![]() While the competition often leaves you uncertain what a particular option will do, W10Privacy has some very clear descriptions : "Do not let apps use my camera", "Do not let apps access my name, picture and other account into", and so on. There’s a lengthy list of tweaks you can apply, for instance - approaching 100 - all neatly organized across several tabs: Privacy, Telemetry, Network, Services and more. ![]() After that, I followed them through the town, because I’m a creep and I like to see what players do when given a post-apocalyptic murderscape to go wild within. When the bullet casings stopped clinking, the Italians spoke to each other, but they didn’t shoot me. I joined in the fray, and by the time the Italians noticed me flinging grenades and helping out, they must have decided I was okay. ![]() A pair of goodies, emptying magazines into the baddies. When I first met the Italians, they were shooting goons. It’s that tension, I mean, the possibility of a “good” player suddenly switching sides, that drives the paranoia and suspense of this eerie multiplayer deathtown. Because the rogues themselves are less important than the fact that they exist. In fact, there seems to be fewer players in general (a friend reasons that the Dark Zones are smaller, so the player count might have dropped, but I can’t tell for certain). Like the last Division, I’ve seen very few players go rogue. Being a rogue is basically a cat and mouse game, except you don’t know which animal you are until the traps start snapping. This whole time though, any lawful player might be hunting you down. It’s essentially a money-laundering bolthole. A hideout where you get to wash off your rogue status and go back to being a normal scavenger like anyone else. After enough hacking or other despicable behaviour, your map pings the location of a “Thieves Den”. If confrontation is too much, you can be a sneakier, quieter rogue, just by hacking terminals and picking locks to forbidden chests. You want to outlast a countdown timer and keep the loot for yourself. If the law-abiding players of the Dark Zone kill you in revenge, they’ll be rewarded with loot. If you do shoot at another player you will become “rogue” and that means you’re fair game for all other players. But it is still that grim place of silence and tension, of wary run-ins, of wondering whether the man in the cowboy hat called “DeathPal99” is going to ignore you, or start a fight. Some of the particulars of exchanging bullets with nasty human foes have changed (our guide to the Dark Zone can explain all that). There are now three of these dangerous zones, where players can shoot each other as well as the NPC baddies guarding high-tier loot. The Dark Zone has changed a bit since I last espoused my love for it in The Division of yesteryear. And sometimes they point their assault rifles at your heart and shout at you in a romance language. Sometimes they sprint away the moment they see you, like a startled deer. Sometimes they hide in the apartments, like scavenging rodents. This is the part of Washington DC where other players skulk in the alleyways. Yes it has a few niggles (the crap story, the bugs) but the Dark Zone is one of its returning treats. The Division 2 is a solid shoot ‘n’ loot, as I said in our review. I don’t understand what they’re yelling, but it’s clear from the rifles pointed at my torso that this is not a friendly chat. ![]() It is recommended that you do not solely rely on the information displayed on this site.
