![]() It usually involves things like not taking the help of the other monsters or not using, say, the whoopee cushion in the level, or only collecting a certain number of stars. Other than simply finishing the level by collecting all three stars, there is a special medal to be achieved by completing specific objectives. The developers have found couple of other ways to get more gameplay out of the level. ![]() Of course now, like the candy, he can also fall off a platform, in which case the level ends. In fact, in several levels, you don’t get the candy to him but get him to the candy. Although you can’t move him directly around, he can be pushed and tossed around by other objects around him. Those, however, form a small part of the gameplay and the focus is mainly on the monsters and their abilities.Īnother change from the previous games is that Om Nom itself is no longer a static character. There are some new ones as well, such as the magnets and wooden blocks. Some of the mechanics from the previous games are back, such as the blue whoopee cushion and the red balloons. Cut the Rope 2 relies heavily on the monsters for the gameplay but there are some other mechanics as well. Most levels have one of these additional monsters but some have more and you have to work with each of their strengths to complete the level. Boo will scare Om Nom every time they come in contact with each other, which causes the latter to jump and fall elsewhere, usually right where you need him to be in the level. Toss will catch candy, Om Nom or certain other objects that fall on him and then you can tap on him for him to toss them in the air. Blue multiplies every time you tap on him (till a limited number of times) this can be used to create a platform or for a support pillar in some levels. Lick has a long tongue that can be used to create obstructions or paths for the candy simply by tapping on him. Each of these has a different ability Roto will fly around a level along a fixed path and will pick up and carry either the candy or Om Nom if they fall in its vicinity. The game has five level packs and each one introduces a new monster. But for the first time, Cut the Rope 2 also introduces additional monsters that you can control in the game. ![]() You still have to get the candy to the lovable monster Om Nom while getting all the stars in the level. Cut the Rope 2 closely follows the premise of the original game but throws in several new additions along the way. ![]() players will be used to having B for confirm (which is circle on playstation and A on nintendo) and A for cancel (which is cross on playstation and B on nintendo) many people like A for confirm, B for cancel but a lot of playstation, 3ds, etc. Have a settings option so people can swap which button is confirm/cancel for menus. or perhaps tabs would ALWAYS be controlled with LB/RB but try not to have too much of navigating between sets of buttons just with arrows. you maybe could allow them to move up into the tabs and down into the window with just arrows. if that window has tabs, have the 'focus' go to the tabs first. then when you select one with confirm button, the cursor will move to the context window that clicking that would bring up. you should only be able to move the cursor around in there. so when you open it, the cursor will be in the side where you can pick catalogue, clothes, vip, achievements, etc. for example in the main menu perhaps have one menu 'highlighted' at a time. it's just a lazy way to get out of making actual controller-based menus :P of course, it will take a lot of work to get right. ![]() Then you could do this for everything.įor menus, do not do a stick-moves-a-mouse-like-cursor thing. So when you walk to a crop, for example, that can be either harvested or watered, there will be a little "A" by the watering button, and an "X" by the harvesting button. There should be an option for this in the menu so you can change what type of button prompts to display - xbox style, dualshock/playstation style, or generic style (the xinput numbers). stuff like that) and there are often multiple action prompts on the screen, i suggest putting button prompts next to them. ![]() this is because the game is not really built for this.Ĭonsidering you can sometimes do multiple actions to the same spot (for example, bury a fruit or cover up a hole. Then when you start getting into using tools and interacting, it starts to get weird. When tool equip or quick inventory is open, the controls should change to 'menu mode' and you lose control of your character until you make a selection or press cancel button Right trigger or something to switch to the currently recommended tool (like when you're standing in untilled farmland and the rake option appears in the little popout for you to click easily) Left trigger to walk or run (same as shift) Stick/directional pad to move (same as wasd) (using Xbox button names since they are most familiar, I guess) This game has a bit complicated UI for controller considering it was built for touch/mouse but. ![]() Visual Studio code editor highlights any errors and warning in the T-SQL as soon as you write it. Salinger is widely believed to have modeled Holden Caulfield’s alma mater after the McBurney School in his classic novel, The Catcher in the Rye. With 14 stories and 600 guest rooms, the West Side Y has a distinct medieval theme, with polychrome tile, battlements and irregular balconies spaced to resemble a 12th century Italian fortified town. At the time of its construction, the West Side YMCA was structurally the largest YMCA building in the world, cost $3,250,000 to build, and had capacity to serve 10,000 members. The West Side Y's new facility was designed by Dwight James Baum, known primarily for his work building estate homes in Riverdale's elite Fieldston neighborhood in the Bronx, as well as in Westchester County and in Florida. Yet, despite its critics, the West Side Y was a true New York trendsetter, and became the first general YMCA to offer a dormitory wing. The nickname stuck because the location was considered to be too far uptown to attract members, and because construction commenced before funds were fully secured. In about six months' time, after arriving at its new home and being set up, Webb will be ready to start looking into the farthest reaches of the universe. The new telescope will travel 1.6 million kilometres from our planet into a Lagrange point, where the Earth and the Sun's gravity, along with its orbital momentum, will help keep it in one place without using up much fuel. Webb will also go much further from Earth than Hubble. ![]() To account for this, a sunshield the size of a tennis court will also unfold to block out the Sun's rays and keep the telescope cool while a solar panel behind it will generate electricity. The collapsible design, however, means the mirror is left open to space where sunlight would obscure its observations if left unchecked. These will fold so that it can be launched in a conventional rocket and can adjust itself as instructed in space. With Webb, they will have a mirror around 6.5 metres in diameter, made of 18 individual segments. While Hubble's mirror, at 2.4 metres, is big, scientists wanted to create an even larger telescope. The larger the mirror, the more likely that even the faintest traces of distant galaxies and other space objects will be detected. One particular limitation of Hubble was that it was designed to fit inside the head of a rocket, restricting its size.Ī larger mirror allows greater amounts of light to be gathered and focused in the telescope. After issues with its lens were corrected, the telescope gave scientists some of the most spectacular images of the cosmos.Įven before Hubble was launched, scientists were discussing what would come next for space observation. ![]() Perhaps the most famous space telescope is Hubble, which launched in 1990. The first were launched in the late 1960s and early 1970s, aiming to capture images of the universe without Earth's atmosphere in the way. Space telescopes are satellites pointed into space and designed to collect types of radiation including light, X-rays and infrared. |
